Eat well, save money at these Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat Restaurants!

Want a BIG feed of something yummy but relatively cheap?

Here are Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat suggestions to fill you up without emptying your wallet (or maxing out your card).

Sushi Gen - All-You-Can-Eat Asian Near The Universities

Here’s the newest addition to the Asian food corridor surrounding University of Manitoba’s main South Winnipeg campus.

Sushi Gen is just across from the U Mb campus at 2425 Portage, with a second downtown location just across from UW at 500 Portage, and has all you can eat lunches and dinners daily.

They also have a 130-item menu.

Specialties are the lobster tempura, and two choices only at dinner: grilled jumbo shrimp and Sashimi.

Charisma of India - East Indian Buffet Daily

Modest from the outside, surprisingly big but modest inside, Charisma of India serves authentic East Indian cuisine - a daily dinner buffet and a lunch buffet every day except Sunday.

There are plenty of delicious choices, with four mains (and always a vegetarian choice) plus salad, papadams, chutneys, rice and naan.

They are licensed and you don’t need reservations. But parking can be hard to find after 5 p.m. (there are just a handful of spots out front) in this busy downtown neighbourhood.

Delivery is also available: 222-7878.

At 83 Sherbrook (at Wolseley).

Perogies

You can't come to Winnipeg and not indulge in perogies!

The best big feed of baked perogies is just North of Downtown and just $8 at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on the final Friday of every month, September to May, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Don’t turn up late – they are known to sell out.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 1175 Main Street, Winnipeg.

Chicken Wings

We usually order a platter of wings to share, but if you want a really big feed of wings (and you're just not feeling that generous) you can get that at Kelsey’s all day, any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, for $15.99.

There are three Kelsey’s Restaurant locations in Winnipeg including south of Downtown at 1629 Kenaston.

Fish and Chips

We often eat at the Joey’s Only Seafood Restaurant in our neighbourhood (there are eight locations in Winnipeg).

Especially on Tuesdays, the night they offer a great Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat deal -- you can eat fish and chips till you're stuffed to the gills for $9.99.

Riblets

For the combination of ribs, good and a Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat Classic, it’s Applebee’s Neighbourhood Grill and Bar.

Applebee's has three Winnipeg locations, including West of Downtown at Grant Park, 1150 Grant Ave. where you can indulge in infinite riblets for $9.99 any day of the week.

The Best in Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat Suchi

If quantity as well as quality is what you like when you indulge in sushi, Mooshiro Japanese Cuisine at 708 Portage (near University of Winnipeg) has Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat sushi every day.

If you go for lunch, you’ll pay $15.95; dinner is $22.95.

And you better clean your plate, because here they charge $1 per roll you take but don’t eat.

“We don’t like to waste food,” the owner explains. Just another reason to like this place.

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Comes in unlimited quantities on Mondays 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (but arrive a bit before that; there’s usually a line-up) at Pizza Place, a restaurant inside Grant Park Shopping Centre at 1120 Grant Ave.

This Winnipeg All-You-Can-Eat meal deal is $6.99, but you have to also order a drink (so, with tax, the bill will be just under $10). Meatballs and garlic toast are available but cost extra.

Chinese Buffet

Most Winnipeg Chinese restaurants offer a lunch buffet, but usually it's only on weekdays.

However, at Marigold (a chain of Chinese restaurants) the small but very tasty lunch buffet is daily.

Two can dine and leave satisfied for $20 (plus tax and tip).
