Look here for a Winnipeg map

Here is another useful interactive Yahoo map of Winnipeg that allows you to zoom in.

Downtown map

Here is a good map of downtown Winnipeg (opens in a new window).

This one is useful because there are many one-way streets downtown and it shows you the street directions and also allows you to zoom in.

Where to park downtown

There is plenty of parking in downtown Winnipeg, both on the street, in city lots and parking arcades. I have never had a hard time finding a place to park downtown, though parallel parking (on the street) gets a bit tricky during rush hour.

Here is where to find city-operated parking lots and parking buildings (opens in a new window).

Looking for a map of Manitoba?

Here is another useful zoom-in map of Southern Manitoba, showing the highways to Winnipeg, or east to Ontario, west to Brandon or south to either Minnesota or North Dakota (opens in a new window).

This printable map of Manitoba (opens in a new window) shows all of the province of Manitoba.

Need a Manitoba road map?

If you are using Winnipeg as a base to explore Manitoba, you'll want a good road map to nearby towns, beaches and provincial parks.

Here's a good Manitoba map for drivers and, bonus, it's waterproof.

You may also want a reliable guidebook about the province's attractions, and where to stop for a bite, plus off-the-beaten path things to see and do, the kind of 'stumble upon' experiences that make a vacation memorable.

The best one I know of is A Daytripper's Guide to Manitoba by Winnipeg Free Press reporter Bartley Kives.
